Like many of you, I'm a huge Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fashion fan. Personally, Ashley's style is more my taste, but there's no denying the two had a tremendous influence on the fashion scene this decade. From Balenciagas to Starbucks, oversize sunnies to heavy layering, the sisters wore it all before it was "in."
Style.com has a great little article and slideshow dedicated to Mary-Kate and Ashley, and their mark on the 2000s. Definitely worth a look.

I came upon this article in New York Magagzine detailing former Vogue editor in chief, Diane Vreeland's rise from chic party guest to legendary tastemaker and fashion icon. Great little read.
